Project Overview

The goal was to create a simple mobile tool that allows users to locate community fridges and share food in a safe and quick way – especially during periods of increased food waste, such as after holidays.

What We Did

• Developed a cross-platform mobile app using Flutter (Android & iOS) with a clean and intuitive interface
• Integrated a map with community fridge locations
• Enabled users to submit new locations and edit existing data
• Added functionality to report errors or missing fridges
• Built the backend on Supabase – fast, scalable, and serverless
• Implemented a notification and alert system
