FitSherpa (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by FitSherpa. This Privacy Policy applies to our mobile application, and its associated services (collectively, our “Service”).
By accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

We collect information to provide better services to all our users.
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Account Data: When you register, we collect your email address and password (encrypted).
- Profile Data: We collect information such as your name, age, gender, height, weight, and fitness goals to personalize your experience.
- Workout & Health Data: We collect data about your workouts, exercises performed, body measurements, and diet preferences to generate plans and track progress.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: We may collect information about how you access and use the Service, including device type, operating system, and interaction logs.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and Maintain the Service: To create personalized workout and diet plans.
- AI Features: We use third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude) to analyze your profile and goals to generate custom fitness content. Your data is processed securely and not used to train public AI models.
- Improve Our App: To analyze usage and trends to improve user experience.
- Communication: To send you administrative updates (e.g., password resets).
3. Data Storage and Security
- Database: Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) servers located in the EU (Frankfurt).
- Security: We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) for data transmission and secure hashing for passwords. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
4. Third-Party Services
We may share data with specific third-party providers solely for the purpose of providing the functionality of the App:
- Supabase: For backend database and authentication services.
- Anthropic (Claude AI): For generating workout and diet plans. Only necessary context (goals, limitations, equipment) is sent; personally identifiable information is minimized.
5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data directly within the app (Profile -> Delete Account).
6. Children’s Privacy
FitSherpa is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
